Look at Kizz’s post to see the original instructions from candlewaxdreams. Now, I’m not saying that mine are better, it’s just, as any of you that know me (or remember my bloated ‘10’ albums you’d need on a desert island list) my world is a complex tapestry colored by heretofore unseen shades of gray.
Thus, my 7 additional conditional instructions…just to make sure people don’t get the wrong idea.
(Is it any wonder we Democrats have had such a time uniting over the last half-generation? We can’t even decide what ‘is’ is…)
So, with what is left of the furthest extension of ado, here it is:
Empire Magazine has revealed its list of the "50 Greatest TV Shows" ever. So, of course, LJ-ers have leapt upon the opportunity and made it into a meme.
1. Bold the shows you've watched every episode of (or at least feel like you have)
2. Italicize the shows you've seen at least one episode of
3. Italicize and Underline the shows you’ve seen, liked and watched, but just haven’t followed religiously*
4. Italicize and Bold those shows that you’ve seen, liked and kick yourself for not watching more of
5. Bold, Italicize and Underline those shows that started out strong but stayed too long at the dance.
6.
7. [Bracket those shows you’ve never heard of]
8. Leave the ones that you haven’t seen alone.
9. Post your answers
10. List your faves not on the list
*[ Just in case you're not familair with HTML, before a passage you want to underline, or strikethrough enter (without the spaces between characters) < u > < s > (or both) and at the end of enter < / u > < / s >

Like we said over at my place, I really think this had to be a reader driven "best of" and it has to be readers of a certain (very young) age. That's the only way I can see a list like this happening without things like All in the Family on it.
Re: Band of Bros, I watched a couple of eps while housesitting and enjoyed it. Years later I borrowed the boxed set from a friend. I watched it all the way through in about 2 days, watched all the special features (skip the ones about the actors training for the roles) then I started right back at the beginning and watching again. It's so worth your time to beg, borrow or rent the set and make a day of it.
re: The Wire, you must watch it, you simply must. It's required viewing for democrats and caring citizens and entertainment makers everywhere. If you don't find it compelling I will eat my hat.
Your welcome. Many years ago you did me the gracious favor of bringing me into your world of music....Voice of the Beehive, Material Issue... and we have just never had to really go back.
For the most part my list would look like your list. And I agree with all of the conditions and add ons!
